About Dr. Mike Glasmeier
One of Nashville’s leading Sedation Dentistry Experts, Dr. Mike Glasmeier (“or as patients call him Dr.G”) has been practicing dentistry since 2004. Dr. Glasmeier was born in Cincinnati, OH and spent most of his life in the Northern Kentucky area until he left to attend college in Lexington, KY. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky in 2000 and decided to stay for grad school. Dr. Glasmeier graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2004.
Following graduation, Dr. Glasmeier entered the Air Force as an officer where he attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. From there, he relocated to Columbus AFB, MS to provided general dentistry to pilots and all the supporting personnel of a pilot training facility. Dr. Glasmeier was ranked 2nd in 2006 among the entire Department of Defense for customer service/satisfaction, to which he considers one of his greatest honors.
He left the Air Force in 2007 with an honorable discharge to pursue private practice in Antioch, TN and also worked as an associate for several years in Old Hickory/Mt.Juliet where he purchased his 2nd office in 2014. Dr. Glasmeier operates both practices currently offering general dentistry but with an emphasis on Cosmetic, Sedation and Special Needs Dentistry. Dr. Glasmeier’s interest in Special Needs Dentistry developed when his sons were both diagnosed with Autism. Having the day to day perspective of the challenges/obstacles that his sons encounter, he began focusing on providing dentistry to children and adults who have difficulty in the dental office.
Dr. Glasmeier resides in Mt. Juliet with his wife, Rebekah, and children, Ava, Ty and Jake. Dr.G and his family attend Providence Methodist Church and are active in the local community of Mt.Juliet. Dr.G loves to work out at multiple local gyms and enjoys running 5Ks. In his spare time, Dr. Glasmeier loves to cook so he is always looking for new recipes as he feels cooking is another “artform” similar to dentistry.
Dr. Glasmeier has developed into one of Nashville’s leading authorities in Sedation Dentistry. He recently acquired his fellowship from DOCS, an organization dedicated to educating dental providers in different types of sedation in a dental environment. He has been offering oral and IV sedation to patients for over 10+ years and also has surgical privileges to an outpatient surgical center for patients that require general anesthesia.
